Abstract. The resurrection principle (RP) asserts that, in each forcing extension, all true assertions with real parameters retain their forceability throughout subsequent forcing extensions. This property exhibits deep connections with set-theoretic geology, the modal logic of forcing, and inner model theory. I will discuss classical and more recent results on RP, as well as its natural refinements.
